Mawei Shipbuilding builds 7500 dual fuel vehicle ships for Bank of Communications and Gold Leasing, leaving the dock

On the morning of September 15th, the 7500 car dual fuel roll on/roll off ship (XSl463G) built by Mawei Shipbuilding under Fujian Shipbuilding Administration for Bank of Communications Financial Leasing was successfully unloaded, and the 85000 ton multi-purpose pulp ship (MW466-1) built in the same dock was lifted in coordination.
The total length of the ship is 199.9 meters, with a vertical distance of 195.6 meters, a width of 38 meters, a depth of 14.8 meters, a designed draft of 8.65 meters, and a maximum draft of 10 meters. The propulsion system of the ship is designed as a single engine and single propeller, using LNG dual fuel main engine, single bow thruster, and electric RORO system. The cargo hold is equipped with 13 vehicle decks. Mainly used for transporting various types of vehicles including heavy trucks and packaging hazardous materials, and capable of transporting new energy vehicles fueled by hydrogen and natural gas on decks 11, 12, and 13, classified by ABS classification society.
To ensure the completion of the docking as planned, all members of the project team actively organized key node tackling work, quickly proposed solutions to the problems raised by the shipowner, strictly implemented quality process control, raced against time, and ensured production, construction, and service quality.
The Process Engineering Department of the R&D and Design Institute actively draws on the construction experience of ships in the same series, improves the construction process of the closure joint of the 7500 car dual fuel vehicle roll on/roll off ship, and improves the ventilation of the cargo warehouse construction. During the construction, a circular cantilever frame is erected around the entire ship to form a three-dimensional space to ensure the orderly construction of the closure joint, effectively ensuring the loading project of the circular section; The loading department conducted exchanges and discussions on the basic situation, key technological progress, and construction nodes of the ship, strictly implemented plan management, and completed the loading and docking of 727 sections of the ship, ensuring the smooth completion of the docking nodes.
The installation project of the RORO system is the key and difficult point of the ship. The ship's installation department actively promotes the process forward, and advances the installation and welding of equipment accessories such as the sliding track, eye plate, and sealing channel steel in the D-stage of the movable ramp to the segmented stage, effectively reducing the production pressure in the dock stage. As of the end of the docking period, all 11 movable ramps of the ship have been debugged, the stern gate has been electrically unfolded, and the anchor vehicle and anchoring have been completed. The cabin integrity has reached 100%, the pipeline system integrity has reached 91%, and the outfitting and ventilation engineering has been completed by 92%. At the same time, the mechanical and electrical department has completed the laying of cables throughout the ship, and the pipe, ventilation, iron outfitting, and fitter works in the engine room area have been basically completed. It has entered the comprehensive commissioning stage, effectively promoting the next stage of dock construction work.
