Changhong International signs and delivers the construction of the fifth 5300 container ship for NAViOS

At 8:28 am on July 4, 2024, Changhong International completed the online signing and delivery of the fifth 5300 container ship "ZIM FALCON" (CHB2012) built by Greek shipowner NAViOS MARITIME PARTNERS L. P.
Mr. Dai Jiming, President of Changhong International, joined hands with Mr. Georgios Panagakis, representative of NAViOS, and Ms. Aikaterina Dimitriou, representative of DNB Bank, to sign formal delivery documents simultaneously in Zhoushan and Greece.
In addition, Mr. Christoforos Konstantinidis, the on-site office manager of NAViOS Supervision Company's ADK, Mr. Guan Shengyu, the senior ship surveyor and project manager at DNV Zhoushan Station, Mr. Shen Zhihua, the general manager of the company's shipbuilding, Mr. Liu Ming, the assistant to the general manager, MB Shipbrokers, and relevant leaders jointly witnessed the ship delivery online and offline.
There are ten 5300 container ships in this series, with a total length of about 237.8 meters, a width of 38.8 meters, and a depth of 21.8 meters. They are classified by DNV classification society. The ship design boldly breaks through the limitations of traditional container ships with narrow body shapes, adopts innovative wide body concepts to optimize the line shape, and is equipped with efficient and energy-saving reduced power engines, low fuel consumption, EEDI energy consumption index, etc., which are more than 30 lower than the baseline index, meeting the requirements of phase 3. This series is equipped with a 2.5 layer binding bridge, which can load 3845 14T containers. Compared to other designs of the same ship type, it has an additional 145-345 container spaces, equipped with 1000 cold box sockets, and can load 750 cold boxes at the same time. It is equipped with an ultra-low sulfur oil system, AMP, SCR, and BWMS, fully demonstrating its green and environmentally friendly navigation concept.
The ZIM FALCON vessel will set sail on July 5th, officially joining the shipowner's operational fleet and embarking on its commercial journey.
