Two ships laying the foundation and one ship starting! Beihai Shipbuilding achieved three major milestones on the same day

On July 25th, China Shipbuilding Corporation Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. achieved the milestone of two ships laying the foundation and one ship starting construction.
Beihai Shipbuilding's 210000 ton LNG dual fuel bulk carrier No. 39, built for Japanese merchant ship Mitsui, and the 210000 ton "ammonia ready" bulk carrier No. 48, built for Belgian company CMB, will hold a laying ceremony at the company's shipyard No. 2 one day ahead of the annual plan. Representatives from the shipowner's on-site team, classification society, and relevant departments of the company jointly attended the laying ceremony. The smooth laying of the project marks the transition of the two ships from the segmented production stage to the dock loading stage. In the future, the project team will take the integrity of the dock as the goal, coordinate and organize closely with various departments around the production plan, strengthen quality improvement management, ensure safe and orderly production and construction, and guarantee the timely achievement of the dock departure node.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the 210000 ton bulk carrier 52 (BC210K-52) built by Beihai Shipbuilding for Belgian CMB company was held at the company's joint factory. Representatives from the shipowner's on-site team, ship inspection, and relevant departments of the company jointly initiated the crystal ball and started the steel plate cutting work for the project ship. As of now, the second batch of 5 vessels in the "Ammonia Ready" series of the CMB project have all started construction, marking that all vessels in the project series have entered the stage of actual ship construction. The project started during the rainy season, and various departments of the company actively prepared and closely cooperated to overcome adverse effects such as meteorological conditions, fully ensuring the project's commencement and continuous production, and striving to achieve a continuous production of billions in Beihai.
