
Zhoushan Zhongyuan Shipping Heavy Industry builds the sixth shuttle oil tanker for KNOT and successfully completes the trial voyage
On August 13th, the sixth 154000 ton shuttle oil tanker N787 project built by Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industries for a Norwegian shipowner successfully completed its sea trial mission and achieved a triumphant sailing.
With the joint efforts and cooperation of the shipowner, ship inspection, and project team, the trial voyage was successfully completed in 8 days, including the main engine running in and durability test, anchor test, turning and other ship performance tests, servo and automatic rudder test, bow and stern towing test, and DP debugging. In addition, while maintaining consistency with the trial voyage cycle of the series of projects, the thruster load, thruster control SAT, thruster VFD SAT, THD, voltage drop and other project inspections were also completed, and the trial voyage requirements were successfully completed with quality and quantity, winning high recognition from the shipowner and ship inspection.
During the construction of the N787 project, the project team fully summarized and optimized the experience of building a series of ships, optimized and improved the process flow, efficiently promoted the construction tasks according to the construction schedule, and ensured the orderly implementation of various milestone tasks. On May 9th, the N787 project was successfully launched; On August 5th, the N787 project conducted sea trials as planned, achieving a dock cycle of 88 days for sea trials, which is more than 20 days shorter than the series of projects.
During the trial voyage, the project team scientifically arranged and efficiently organized according to the working conditions of the main engine, optimized and timely adjusted the inspection sequence of each test project, and effectively promoted the trial voyage task. The 154K project party branch actively carried out a special party building practice activity for sea trials, with party members leading the charge and driving all members of the project team to unite and complete the sea trial task safely and efficiently.
At the summary meeting of the trial voyage, the shipowner and ship inspection fully affirmed the preparation work and process arrangement of this trial voyage, and conducted in-depth discussions on the existing problems and subsequent optimization projects.
In the future, the project team will intensively carry out trial flight clearance and final work to ensure the successful delivery of the N787 project as planned.
