The unveiling of the hull painting for the second domestically produced large cruise ship, "Ada Huacheng"
On March 26th, Adora Cruises officially unveiled the hull livery of its second domestically-produced large cruise ship, "Adora·Huacheng". "Adora·Huacheng" will adopt the livery design concept of its sister ship, "Adora·Modu", drawing inspiration from Dunhuang murals. Themed around the Maritime Silk Road, it presents an aesthetic art form that integrates Eastern culture with modern cruise ships.
The hull livery of "Adora·Huacheng" takes the flying ribbons and celestial maidens scattering flowers from Dunhuang murals as its core elements. It selects classic colors from Chinese aesthetics and uses dynamic lines to depict a harmonious scene of grandeur. The celestial maidens scattering flowers in the fluttering dance echoes the name "Huacheng" (Flower City) and symbolizes the cruise ship's role in connecting the world on the new Maritime Silk Road. This innovative interpretation of Eastern cultural charm showcases a cross-temporal exchange of civilizations, allowing the millennial Dunhuang and Silk Road aesthetics to radiate a new contemporary brilliance, opening a new chapter of "Flowers Blooming in China, Adora in the World".
Currently, the construction of "Adora·Huacheng" is progressing smoothly. The entire ship's structure is complete, and the prefabricated cabin pushing and installation work has begun. Compared to the first domestically-produced large cruise ship, "Adora·Modu", "Adora·Huacheng" has a larger tonnage, greater length, an increased number of cabins (2130), and several new suite types. Its full passenger capacity reaches 5232. "Adora·Huacheng" has comprehensively optimized its interior design and layout, and its public spaces and entertainment and leisure systems have also been comprehensively upgraded, with the atrium area doubled to provide passengers with a more comfortable and relaxed cruise experience.
Adora Cruises stated: "As China's flagship cruise Brand, Adora Cruises adheres to the principle of using cultural confidence to drive the integration of culture and tourism. We expect 'Adora·Huacheng', with its hull livery inspired by the Dunhuang flying ribbons, to join its sister ship 'Adora·Modu' in spreading the beauty of Chinese culture to the world. We will also deeply integrate China's excellent traditional culture and Maritime Silk Road elements into the design and product experience of 'Adora·Huacheng' to bring global passengers a new journey of maritime cultural arts."

Currently, Adora Cruises' two operating large cruise ships—the first domestically-produced large cruise ship, "Adora·Modu", and the "Art Ship", "Adora·Mediterranean"—have served over 550,000 domestic and international passengers. The second domestically-produced large cruise ship, "Adora·Huacheng", has also entered the accelerated period of final assembly and outfitting, and is planned to be delivered by the end of 2026 and to launch international routes from Guangzhou Nansha.
