$100 million over 4 years! Wallenius Wilhelmsen signs another big deal
According to Shipping Industry News, automotive shipping giant Wallenius Wilhelmsen has announced the signing of a significant logistics contract with an unnamed major automobile manufacturer in Australia, expected to generate over 100 million USD in revenue over the 4-year contract period.
Specifically, Wallenius Wilhelmsen stated that it has signed an important logistics contract with a leading automobile manufacturer in Australia, with a contract term of 3+1 years, to provide vehicle value-added processing services in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.
Wallenius Wilhelmsen's Chief Commercial Officer Pia Synnerman pointed out, "We are pleased to sign this contract and look forward to providing the customer with greater control over their broader logistics value chain. Wallenius Wilhelmsen looks forward to cooperating and expanding its market share in Oceania."
"The contract term is 3+1 years. Assuming the customer exercises the option, the agreement is expected to generate over 100 million USD in revenue within 4 years."
Previously, in May 2024, Wallenius Wilhelmsen announced the sale of the Melbourne International Roll-on/Roll-off and Automotive Terminal (MIRRAT) to a subsidiary of Qube Holdings, Australia's largest logistics provider, for 332.5 million AUD. After the transaction is completed, Wallenius Wilhelmsen will continue to use the terminal.
