The 115,000-ton成品油 tanker No. 85 of Dachuan Tianjin has begun its trial voyage.
On January 31, the 115,000-ton LR2 product oil tanker P110K-85, built by Dachuan Tianjin, set sail with a horn blast, kicking off its sea trials 25 days ahead of schedule and taking a crucial step toward high-quality delivery.
This maritime trial will comprehensively verify the vessel’s performance indicators under real sea conditions, covering nearly a hundred test items across four major categories: hull, outfitting, machinery, and electrical systems. These tests include critical assessments such as speed measurement, maneuverability trials, main engine endurance tests, unmanned engine room operations, power failure recovery, and the effectiveness of life-saving and firefighting equipment.
Faced with the harsh winter construction environment and the pressure of simultaneously advancing two vessels, the project team efficiently pushed forward work by adopting a daily “plan today, complete today” mechanism. By optimizing the coordination of work procedures and proactively engaging in commissioning preparations, they achieved “one-time installation and successful commissioning” for all equipment. Employing a strategy of “phased implementation and parallel advancement,” they completed the commissioning of the superstructure’s internal communication and fire alarm systems in just five days. Moreover, during the integrated commissioning of the boiler, inert gas system, and cargo oil pumps, they saved seven days on the overall schedule, setting new records for multiple tasks.
This trial voyage not only sets the pace for the subsequent production and delivery of vessels but also highlights the robust capabilities of Dachuan Tianjin in building finished-product oil tankers. With the joint efforts of all personnel involved in the trial voyage, this vessel will surely successfully complete all its trial tasks, marking a splendid start to the new year and offering a festive gift for the Spring Festival.
