Zhenhua Heavy Industries has undertaken the construction of the 38,000-ton multi-purpose heavy-lift vessel “Jishui” for China–Poland Shipping.
On May 17, the second of the 38,000-ton multi-purpose heavy-lift vessels built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Group for the Polish side of the China–Poland Steamship Company was successfully launched at Zhenhua Offshore Engineering.
This vessel integrates heavy‑cargo capacity, versatile adaptability, and green, intelligent technologies. It measures 182 meters in length, 30 meters in breadth, and 17 meters in depth, with a design draft of 9.8 meters and a service speed of 14.5 knots, and is classed by DNV. Its design fully meets the demands of transporting high‑end equipment: it is equipped with three 350‑ton crane‑type gantry cranes independently developed by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Group, offering a combined lifting capacity of 700 tons to handle heavy‑component hoisting operations with flexibility and efficiency; it features an open‑deck cargo space that runs the full length of the ship and two extra‑long cargo holds, each with a maximum length of 76.8 meters, along with adjustable movable secondary decks, ensuring exceptional cargo versatility and enabling it to comprehensively satisfy global requirements for transporting oversized components and complete sets of equipment.
Going forward, Zhenhua Heavy Industries will continue to strengthen its expertise in the construction of specialized vessels, boldly assume its responsibilities and mission in “major overseas projects” and “large-scale equipment,” deepen its presence in the international high-end market, and enhance its capabilities in delivering overseas projects on time and to the highest standards. By ensuring high‑quality deliveries and driving technological innovation, the company will empower global shipping and support the Group’s international expansion and diversified, high‑quality development.
