Guangzhou Shipyard International’s LNG dual-fuel car carrier—one vessel has left the dock, and another has entered.
On July 27, the third vessel of the 10,800‑car LNG‑dual‑fuel pure car‑truck carrier (PCTC) series—built by CSSC Guangzhou Shipyard International in collaboration with CSSC Trading for South Korea’s HMM Shipping—was floated into the dock. Prior to that, on July 23, the second vessel in the same series had also successfully completed its float‑out. The rapid succession of key milestones—float‑out and float‑in—for vessels in this series underscores Guangzhou Shipyard International’s robust capabilities in the construction of large, intelligent, and environmentally friendly car carriers.
At the end of April this year, Guangzhou Shipyard International successfully delivered the world’s first 10,800‑car dual‑fuel car carrier, built for HMM Shipping. This milestone not only fills a critical gap in the high‑end, 10,000‑car class car carrier market but also positions Guangzhou Shipyard International among the global leaders in core capabilities—including the design and R&D, overall assembly and construction, and quality control—of ultra‑large‑capacity dual‑fuel Ro‑Ro vessels, thereby laying a solid foundation for deepening strategic cooperation with leading shipping companies.
Within a single week, this series of vessels once again achieved an efficient construction schedule characterized by “one vessel delivered, one vessel launched, with seamless handover,” fully demonstrating Guangzhou Shipyard International’s mature series‑building system and outstanding project‑management capabilities. Moving forward, the company will continue to deepen its expertise in green and intelligent shipbuilding, uphold its commitment to meticulous craftsmanship and quality, further advance technological innovation, steadily carry out subsequent shipbuilding projects, and strive to produce high‑end shipping equipment of exceptional caliber, thereby enhancing its reputation as a premier builder of high‑tech Ro‑Ro vessels.
