On August 6, the shipbuilding division of CSSC Chengxi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, operated at full capacity, successfully completing the simultaneous launching of two vessels and the installation of another onto the slipway—milestones that vividly underscore the hard‑won achievements of all Chengxi shipbuilders in braving scorching heat and battling inclement weather.
At 8:38 a.m., the No. 56 82,000‑ton bulk carrier built for Lianghe Group was successfully launched at the company’s headquarters. Despite enduring 11 consecutive days of overcast and rainy weather, 13 days of temperatures exceeding 35°C, and a three‑day suspension of work due to Typhoon Bavi, the vessel’s slipway cycle was completed in just 42 days, vividly embodying CSSC Chengxi’s time‑honored tradition of “working together to overcome challenges and striving to lead.”
Meanwhile, the No. 12 50,000‑dwt MR product tanker built for Singapore’s Singfar Company was floated out three days ahead of schedule, achieving an unprecedented level of outfitting completeness and laying a solid foundation for subsequent berth‑side outfitting.
On the same day, the baseline block for the 57th 82,000‑ton bulk carrier, built for Guangdong Yue Dian Shipping Co., Ltd., was successfully lifted onto the slipway.
