Xinyangzi Shipbuilding has delivered an 8,000-TEU container vessel built for DANAOS.

On the morning of September 16, the 8,000-TEU container vessel “PATMOS EXPRESS,” built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group’s New Yangzijiang Shipyard for shipowner DANAOS, cast off from the shipyard’s berth and was delivered for entry into service. The vessel was officially signed over on September 15.

The vessel has a length of 272.00 meters, a molded depth of 24.60 meters, a molded breadth of 42.80 meters, and a design draft of 15.0 meters, and is classed by DNV. It is the third in a series of seven 8,000‑TEU container ships built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for the shipowner DANAOS. Construction commenced in mid-July 2025, and the vessel successfully completed its sea trials in mid-August 2026, with all test results meeting the design specifications.
