New Yangtze Shipbuilding delivers SEASPAN's 12th dual fuel medium-sized container ship

On November 9th, the 12th LNG dual fuel 7000TEU container ship "ZIM JASPER" built by New Yangtze Shipbuilding of Yangtze River Shipbuilding Group for shipowners SEASPAN and ZIM departed from the shipyard terminal and was delivered for operation in the ZIM fleet.
The ship started construction in mid October 2023, entered the dock for loading in late April 2024, left the dock in early August, and successfully completed the trial voyage on November 2, with all test results meeting the design standards. With the joint efforts of the on-site supervision team of the shipowner company, DNV classification society, and the shipyard staff, the construction was successfully completed.
On the morning of November 7th, Yangtze River Shipbuilding Group, SEASPAN, and ZIM jointly held a grand naming ceremony for this ship. The naming ceremony was attended by renowned figures including Ms. Pecky Hui, Mr. Hua Xiangqian, President of ZIM China, Mr. Su Xiaohua, Project Manager of SEASPAN Asset Management Department, Mr. Shi Yonglin, Manager of DNV Jiangyin Station, as well as Mr. Du Chengzhong, Deputy General Manager of Yangtze River Shipbuilding Group and General Manager of New Yangtze Shipbuilding, and Mr. Ni Rong, Deputy General Manager of New Yangtze.
Ms. Pecky Hui named the new ship "ZIM JASPER" and cut ropes, threw champagne, and boarded the ship with guests for a visit. The whistle rings, wishing the new ship and its crew safe sailing, bringing honor and wealth to the shipowner and lessee.
On the morning of November 8th, the "ZIM JASPER" round was signed and delivered. Mr. Nan Xiangfu, the on-site manager of SEASPAN in New Yangtze Shipbuilding, and Mr. Du Chengzhong, the deputy general manager of Yangtze River Shipbuilding Group and general manager of New Yangtze Shipbuilding, respectively signed the delivery documents on behalf of both parties.
