The shipowner representative, on-site office, ship inspection and company leaders, and representatives of relevant departments attended the ceremony to witness the commencement of the ship. Mr. Antonatos Nikolaos and Mr. Dimitrios Mavridis, representatives of NAVIOS company, jointly pressed the "ignition" button, marking the official start of the construction of these two ships. Subsequently, Mr. Andreas Makroglou, the on-site office manager of ADK, Mr. Pang Maocan from American Bureau of Shipping, and Mr. Liu Ming, the assistant general manager of Changhong International Shipbuilding, respectively signed the commencement certificate on behalf of the three parties.
This series of ship types is a new generation LR2/Afra deep well pump oil tanker developed based on the latest regulatory rules, with a total length of approximately 249.9 meters, a width of 44 meters, and a depth of 21.5 meters. It is classified by the American Bureau of Shipping, and in addition to conventional fuel, ships can also use clean energy such as methanol and LNG as fuel in the future. At the same time, the reserved medium voltage shore power provides favorable conditions for ship owners to connect to the medium voltage shore power system in the future, which can effectively reduce the atmospheric pollution such as carbon and sulfur generated by the use of auxiliary generators during ship berthing. HVSC, as the most effective environmental protection solution, is being adopted by more and more ship owners; In addition, this ship also adopts advanced single deck hydraulic driven deep well pumps (Framo), which increases the diversity of goods and has more operational value.
