Yangtze Mitsui delivers Singapore shipowner's second 66000 ton bulk carrier

On November 24th, the second new generation 66000DWT ultra flexible bulk carrier "JAL KALASH" built by Yangtze River Shipbuilding Group's Yangtze Mitsui Shipbuilding for Singaporean shipowners was decommissioned and left the shipyard dock, delivered and put into operation, and began its maiden voyage.
This ship is the 14th ship delivered by Yangtze Mitsui this year. Construction began in mid January 2024, it was loaded in late June, docked in late August, and successfully completed its trial voyage in mid October. All test results met the design standards. Successfully completed and delivered with the joint efforts of the shipowner, Japan Classification Society, shipyard, and other parties.
On the morning of November 22nd, Yangtze Mitsui held a grand naming ceremony for the ship. Ms. Wang Haiyan, godmother, Mr. Pradeep Unni, Executive Director of Apollo, Mr. Yosuke Kumura, Senior Manager of Japan Classification Society Shanghai Branch, Mr. Shuming Song, Deputy General Manager and CEO of Yangtze River Shipping Group, Mr. Guanglu Tamura, CFO Yuji Ishimaru, Deputy General Manager Mr. Chen Guoqiang, CMO Mr. Shinichi Nakao, Assistant General Manager Mr. Yang Lifeng, as well as representatives of various partners and employees attended the naming ceremony.
Mr. Pradeep Unni chopped cables and threw champagne for the new ship. Firecrackers and fireworks resound together, and the whistle resonates. Wishing the new ship and its crew safe sailing, bringing honor to the construction party, and bringing good luck and wealth to the shipowner.
Mr. Pradeep Unni, the representative of the shipowner, expressed gratitude to all parties who have made efforts for the smooth delivery of the vessel, and looks forward to continuing to work together with Mitsui Yangtze in future projects to maintain and deepen the cooperative relationship based on mutual trust between the two parties. On the morning of November 22, 2024, the "JAL KALASH" shipment was signed and delivered.
