New Era Shipbuilding: Two 11400TEU dual fuel container ships start construction on the same day
On the morning of November 25th, Jiangsu New Era Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. held a ship ignition and construction ceremony in the steel processing workshop of the new district. The structural components of the hull of the 2 #&3 # 11400 box dual fuel powered container ship began to be cut and manufactured.
The two ships under construction this time are the second and third vessels in the 11400TEU series of dual fuel powered container ships customized by the shipowner CONGLAMERATE MARITIME LIMITED, which can load specified dry cargo containers, refrigerated containers, and designated hazardous cargo containers. This type of ship has a total length of 335 meters, a width of 45.6 meters, a depth of 25 meters, a design draft of 12.5 meters, a structural draft of 16 meters, and is driven by a single propeller and dual fuel engine, meeting Tier 3 requirements for nitrogen oxide emissions. Under the design draft, main engine power NCR, equipped with BTF, and with a 15% sea state reserve, the sailing speed before the engine is driven is approximately 19.85 knots. The equipped LNG fuel tank can be filled with 8000 cubic meters of fuel, and under the designed draft of gas mode, the cruising distance is about 19000 nautical miles; Under the fuel mode design draft, the cruising distance is approximately 18000 nautical miles.
