China Shipbuilding Chengxi launches 84500 ton ordinary dry cargo ship for CITIC Financial Leasing

At 8:20 am on December 18th, the No. 1 84500 ton ordinary dry cargo ship constructed by CSSC Chengxi for CITIC Financial Leasing was successfully launched 5 days ahead of schedule at Yangzhou Company, marking the completion of the annual 13 batch production target of the shipyard by Yangzhou Company and breaking the historical record of shipyard construction. Jiang Daoru, Deputy General Manager of CSSC Chengxi, Ying Jianchu, Deputy General Manager of Yangzhou Company, representatives from the shipowner's supervision team and China Classification Society (CCS) attended the launching ceremony together.

During the construction of the ship, the project team had full communication and exchange with the shipowner's supervision team and the China Classification Society, and all departments cooperated to overcome many construction challenges and difficulties such as the shortage of polishing workers and the construction of underwater cranes. In terms of equipment delivery time, we closely monitor the delivery time of the Ke Ling cranes. The four Ke Ling cranes took only 4 days from arrival, assembly to installation on the ship's platform, greatly reducing the risk of water lifting. On this basis, a special plan will be developed for the construction of an underwater crane, and the implementation of this plan will lay the foundation for shortening the dock commissioning cycle.

During the loading period on the shipyard, the production and operation department coordinated the overall situation and concentrated the advantageous resources of the shipyard. The ship achieved the main hull connection in only 31 days and completed the rudder shaft line sighting in 32 days; The loading department aims to achieve a critical transition time, and the structural completion of the entire ship's outer panel area from handover inspection to transition coating only takes 4 days. Within 4 days, the complete handover inspection of cargo holds 5-8 was completed, and the tightness of the engine room outer panels was fully achieved; The final assembly department takes the critical cycle as the criterion, and the overall completion time of the axis rudder system shipyard project is 17 days; HuaerXin is flexible in response and has the conditions to track and repaint in real time. It only takes 5 days for the entire ship's exterior panels to be transferred to the end of the exterior panel painting project. With close cooperation from various departments, the ship achieved a shipyard construction period of 50 days.
