New Era Shipbuilding delivers Mediterranean Shipping's second 8100TEU dual fuel container ship

On the morning of December 17th, Jiangsu New Era Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. held a naming ceremony for the 7 # 8100TEU dual fuel LNG powered container ship "MSC GABON" built for Mediterranean Shipping (MSC).
Guests including Zhang Yuyong, Executive Vice General Manager of New Era Shipbuilding, Yuan Heng, Deputy General Manager, Chen Yukun, Site Manager of MSC, YG Bae and YS Lee from MSC Busan Office, Godmother Xu Jiao, and representatives from Lloyd's Register (LR) attended the event.
Zhang Yuyong, Executive Vice General Manager of New Era Shipbuilding, presided over the ceremony. His godmother Xu Jiao named the 7 # 8100TEU dual fuel container ship "MSC GABON" and wished it a safe sailing in the future, bringing a continuous stream of wealth to the shipowner.
In the afternoon, the company held a ship signing and delivery ceremony in the conference room of the office building, and the 7 # 8100TEU dual fuel container ship was officially delivered to the shipowner for operation.
The vessel named and delivered this time is the second vessel in the Mediterranean Shipping 8100TEU series of dual fuel powered container ships. The total length of the vessel is 260 meters, the width is 45.6 meters, the depth is 24.7 meters, the design draft is 12.5 meters, the structural draft is 15.8 meters, the air height is 62.5 meters, and the load capacity under the structural draft is 101455.7 MT.
