Beihai Shipbuilding launched a 210,000-ton ammonia-ready bulk carrier for CMB
On March 16, the 210,000-ton ammonia-ready bulk carrier, hull number 51, built by Beihai Shipbuilding of CSSC for CMB.TECH of Belgium, was successfully launched, seven days ahead of the annual plan.
During the construction process, the project team focused on the key difficulties in the forward ship production, planned ahead, implemented lean management, and successfully completed the engine room painting, continuous power supply to the switchboard, and the official lighting of the engine room before the launch. This ensured the necessary conditions for launching and debugging, laying a solid foundation for shortening the underwater mooring test time.
To ensure the integrity of the living quarters area during launching, the project team and the engineering department construction team worked together to overcome difficulties. Focusing on the five aspects of personnel, machinery, materials, methods, and environment, they meticulously refined the process, converting some serial processes into parallel ones to shorten the construction cycle as much as possible. They developed special plans and weekly reports to ensure smooth cooperation between departments, successfully completing the installation of furniture in the areas from the 2nd to 7th floors and the official power supply to the living quarters lighting before launching. This ensured the smooth progress of the debugging work in the living quarters after launching.
