CSSC Guangxi starts construction of a 680TEU container ship for an Indonesian shipowner
On April 16, the keel of the first 680TEU container ship (24102-006) built by CSSC Guangxi, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group, for Indonesia's PT. MERATUS LINE was successfully laid, marking a further deepening of the strategic cooperation between the two parties.
Representatives from PT. MERATUS LINE, experts from RINA (Italian Register of Shipping), and relevant department heads of the company attended the keel-laying ceremony, witnessing this important moment.
The ship has an overall length of 124.4 meters, a molded breadth of 22.8 meters, a molded depth of 8.4 meters, and a design draft of 6.2 meters. It is classed by RINA (Italian Register of Shipping). The hull adopts a steel structure, equipped with a double hull, double bottom design and bilge keel, ensuring excellent safety and seaworthiness. The power system is equipped with a single marine diesel engine driving a fixed-pitch propeller, combined with a high-efficiency stern layout, balancing economic performance and environmental protection. In addition, the ship is equipped with two MACGREGOR intelligent cranes, which can significantly improve cargo handling efficiency and meet the operational requirements of the shipping area.
CSSC Guangxi will continue to deepen its cooperation with PT. MERATUS LINE, strengthen lean shipbuilding, and further serve and integrate into the "Belt and Road" shipping construction. At the same time, it will accelerate production planning, reverse schedule nodes, improve production plans and risk prevention mechanisms, and strive to achieve the goal of "half the time, half the task" in the second quarter, ensuring the high-quality and timely delivery of various ships.
