Two dual-fuel car carriers built by Guangzhou Shipyard International were launched on the same day.

On June 8, Guangchuan International, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group, completed the launching of the second 8600-car dual-fuel vehicle carrier for H-LINE Shipping and the first 8600-car dual-fuel vehicle carrier for HMM. This launching is another achievement in Guangchuan International's efforts to implement the "1-1-7-8" overall deployment requirements of China Shipbuilding Group and strive to achieve the "double over half" goal.

In this launching, the project team focused on the core goal of "safe, on-time, high-quality, and cost-controlled launching." They continuously optimized the construction process, promoted lean production, strictly implemented the concept of regional integrity, and used the critical path method to identify and control the integrity coating of each region. Among them, the launching of the second H-line 8600-car dual-fuel vehicle carrier was completed with the automated inspection of the roll-on/roll-off equipment below deck 9, the completion of coating in all ship areas, and 82% completion of insulation laying before launching. The launching phase score was 97.8, a new high for this series of ships.

During the dock launching of these two ships, the project team strengthened safety production and quality control planning, reinforcing the awareness of red lines and bottom lines. In the construction of HMM's 8600-car dual-fuel vehicle carrier, the project team actively communicated regularly with the ship owner and classification society, promptly and effectively closing the loop on key issues raised by the ship owner and classification society. Faced with the major challenge of disassembling the engine room before launching, the project team solidified management responsibilities, with on-site supervisors ensuring safety, and the construction team taking on the heavy responsibility, efficiently completing the insulation laying task in the engine room area.

This batch of launchings is a vivid example of Guangchuan International's efforts to promote lean management and improve production efficiency, creating conditions for achieving the "double over half" goal for the year's production and operation tasks.
