On August 15th, the innovative electric intelligent workboat "Sanxia Dianxian 1," designed by Wuhan Changjiang Ship Design Institute and built by Nanjing Oil Transportation Company of Changhang Group, held its launch ceremony at Nanjing Zijinshan Shipyard.
The "Sanxia Dianxian 1" electric intelligent workboat is 32 meters in length and is a pure battery-powered propulsion vessel. Adhering to the design concept of "green, intelligent, and efficient," the ship is unique in its core functions and innovative design. It can navigate freely longitudinally and can also simultaneously tow and push ship groups laterally, innovatively forming a new method for motorized ships to pass through locks in groups, alleviating ship congestion at locks and improving water transport efficiency. At the same time, the ship is equipped with an advanced intelligent control system, providing effective guarantee for the precise realization of ship group lock passage and intelligent operation.
The "Sanxia Dianxian 1" is an important attempt and measure to improve the efficiency of ships passing through locks in waterways, and it has significant strategic significance.
