31 new orders signed! Fujian Shipbuilding has achieved “double over half” performance.
In the first half of 2026, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, will earnestly carry out study and education on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements. Centered on its annual goals and tasks, the company will coordinate and advance key initiatives—including ensuring timely vessel delivery, managing risks, expanding markets, strengthening R&D, and improving quality and efficiency—thus smoothly achieving the “double‑half” target. The group will spare no effort to usher in a new phase of high‑quality development, marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with concrete actions and tangible results.
In the first half of the year, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry recorded year-on-year growth in total output value, operating revenue, foreign‑exchange earnings from exports, and total profits. In the shipbuilding segment, guided by market dynamics and customer needs, the company stayed on track to meet its annual order‑intake target, securing contracts for 31 vessels. Meanwhile, in the ship‑repair business, the company continued to enhance the efficiency of its maintenance and conversion services, completing a total of 13 repair projects.
Fujian Shipbuilding’s various business units have adhered to a production organization system centered on block assembly, further advancing the application of modular construction at the unit level. They have prioritized the fabrication and installation of key units such as the engine room lower deck platform, equipment, heating coils, and large pipe bundles, while establishing dedicated mechanisms for tracking and ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet unit‑level requirements. As a result, both construction efficiency and safety standards have been significantly improved.
Each business unit is actively advancing benchmarking and learning from mass‑built vessels, refining efficiency‑improvement plans for 87,000‑ton grain carriers and 80,000‑ton general dry cargo ships, and steadily deepening precision‑control efforts with the goal of effectively shortening dock‑and‑slipway cycles. At the same time, progress is being made on 15 key fine‑management initiatives—including the integrated shipbuilding platform, segment‑fabrication efficiency, and hull‑construction accuracy—focusing on critical levers such as dock‑and‑slipway cycles, quay‑side turnaround times, and launch integrity, while further advancing benchmarking management for core vessel types.
Going forward, Fujian Shipbuilding will spare no effort to ensure the successful completion of vessel delivery schedules, proactively identify and mitigate risks in key areas, and deepen its transformation and upgrading toward digital intelligence and green practices. It will strictly uphold safety and quality red lines and, in celebration of the 160th anniversary of its founding, systematically advance a series of commemorative activities. With a spirited and enterprising attitude and a pragmatic, results‑oriented work style, the company will tap into its growth potential, strive to exceed its annual production and operational targets, and lay a solid foundation for a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
