CIMC Pacific Ocean Engineering's second 40000 cubic meter MGC transport ship has successfully started construction

On September 10th, the second vessel (S1084) of the 40000 cubic meter LPG/liquid ammonia transport ship built by Nantong CIMC Pacific Ocean Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC Pacific Ocean Engineering") for Avance Gas held a groundbreaking steel plate cutting ceremony in the Western Ship Workshop. Yavuz Halac, the resident manager of the shipowner, the resident team of the shipowner, Zhao Wu, the resident manager of LR, and the resident team of the ship inspection witnessed together.
Looking back at May this year, CIMC Pacific Ocean Engineering successfully started the construction of the first 40000 cubic meter LPG/liquid ammonia transport ship (S1083) for Avance Gas. Currently, the construction of the tank and hull is in full swing, and it is planned to dock and load in early November. At that time, the company's MGC ship construction will enter a new stage.
It is understood that these newly built transport ships adopt the latest design concepts and technologies and belong to the new generation of MGC transport ships. They are equipped with MAN's green and environmentally friendly dual fuel engines, which can not only provide a design speed of up to 16 knots, but also significantly reduce the pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions generated during operation by using high-pressure LPG dual fuel engines, meeting the requirements of the International Maritime Organization for environmental protection. In terms of cargo carrying capacity, this type of ship has three IMO Type A cargo holds, which not only optimizes the efficiency of cargo capacity utilization but also enhances overall economic performance. More importantly, these cargo holds are capable of flexibly loading a variety of liquefied gas cargoes, including LPG, liquid ammonia, and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), enabling ships to adapt to diverse transportation needs and enhance their market competitiveness and flexibility.
The resumption of work on MGC ships is not only an important manifestation of the cooperative relationship between the two companies, but also lays a solid foundation for future cooperation. As the project progresses, CIMC Pacific Ocean Engineering will continue to uphold high standards of quality control and people-oriented safety management principles, ensuring that construction tasks are completed on time and with quality, and providing more efficient and environmentally friendly transportation services to global customers.
