CIMC Pacific Ocean Engineering starts construction of 24000 cubic meter ethylene transport ship

On November 28th, Nantong CIMC Pacific Ocean Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC Pacific Ocean Engineering") successfully held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 24000 cubic meter ethylene transport ship (S1, 107) built for Singapore's Petredec company in the cutting workshop of the manufacturing department in the west factory area. Chen Bin, Deputy General Manager of CIMC Pacific Offshore Shipbuilding Division, Dr. Ranjan Varghese, Ship Owner Project Manager, Cao Pinbao, Resident Representative, Chen Xujian and Wu Zhenhui, Ship Inspection Representatives, and members of the company's project team attended the groundbreaking ceremony together.
It is understood that the S1 107 ship that started construction this time is completely independently developed and designed by CIMC Pacific Ocean Engineering. The ship adopts the latest design concepts and technologies, representing the advanced level of the new generation of ethylene transport ships. Its optimized hull shape and reasonable layout not only increase cargo capacity, but also provide a design speed of up to 16 knots. In addition, the ship is equipped with the most advanced WinGD 5X52-S2.0-iSCR main engine, washing tower, and shaft generator. These devices not only significantly reduce pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions during operation, but also significantly reduce fuel consumption, making it a new generation of energy-saving and environmentally friendly ethylene transport ships.
With the official start of the S1 107 ship project, CIMC Pacific Ocean Engineering will continue to adhere to the customer-centric concept, continuously improve its technical level and product quality, and ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of the project. In the future, CIMC Pacific Ocean Engineering will work together with more partners to promote the development of green shipping and contribute to the achievement of global sustainable development goals.
