The lifting work of prefabricated balconies for the second domestically produced large cruise ship by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has started

On July 9th, the lifting work of the prefabricated balcony section of the second domestically produced large cruise ship H1509 by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Corporation, officially started. Zhou Qi, Deputy General Manager of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, Chen Jianwei, Assistant General Manager, Wu Xiaoyuan, Director, and relevant department heads attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
The H1509 ship has a total of 741 prefabricated balconies, involving 11 sections. The lifting work of the entire balcony section is expected to continue until January 2025. This lifting work involves 62 prefabricated balconies on decks 6-9 of U2 section.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, the Interior Department of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Cruise reported on the preparation and planning work for balcony hoisting. On the basis of summarizing the experience of the first ship, the project team has made more comprehensive planning and preparation for the balcony hoisting work. Various relevant departments collaborated with the installation general contracting company to optimize the lifting process and protection plan, and overcome the difficulties of delayed material delivery; Collaborative communication on the structure and installation integrity of the lifting area; At the same time, pre assembly and lifting inspections were carried out on the first batch of assembled balconies, and a series of tools required for lifting were safely inspected to lay a solid foundation for smooth lifting.

Combining the "three win" concept of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and the company's management theme of "improving quality and efficiency, and preventing risks", Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has re formulated its balcony engineering package construction strategy, aiming to achieve cost control and efficiency improvement through the localization of installation projects, and promote the construction of a localized supply chain.

Zhou Qi emphasized that the project management team should continue to strengthen cooperation and communication with various departments, promote experience exchange and sharing; Pay attention to the experience of first ship manufacturing, transform it into new productivity, and do a good job in project risk identification; Improve quality and efficiency while ensuring safe operations; As a key project in the interior decoration of cruise ships, the balcony engineering package has achieved localization in the installation project. It is necessary to further implement the company's cost control requirements and continue to promote the localization construction of the cruise engineering supply chain.

The various tasks related to balconies and glass will be gradually implemented according to the production plan. Around key production nodes, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding continues to deepen process optimization, improve work efficiency, and aim for overall cost control to ensure production and construction.
