Sanfu Ship delivers 11000 ton multi-purpose vessel to German shipowner

Following the successful delivery of the first 3500TEU dual fuel container ship by Sanfu Shipbuilding on August 22, 2024, on the morning of August 23, Sanfu Shipbuilding received good news and held a signing and delivery ceremony for a 11000DWT multi-purpose ship with the German shipowner.

The 11000DWT multi-purpose ship has a total length of 149.95 meters, a length between vertical lines of 143.05 meters, a width of 23.20 meters, a depth of 10.5 meters, a design draft of 8.50 meters, a speed of 15.5 knots, and is classified by BV classification society.

This ship is the third vessel in the 11000DWT multi-purpose ship series delivered by Sanfu Shipbuilding. It is a green, low-carbon, and efficient multi-purpose ship model built by Sanfu Shipbuilding. It was jointly designed by Sanfu Shipbuilding and a Dutch design company. The German shipowner has ordered a total of 15 ships of the same type from Sanfu.

The ship is driven by a single fixed pitch propeller and a low-speed diesel engine. The main engine is MAN B&W 6G45 ME-C9.5, and there are two 250T crane sets on the port side of the deck, with a maximum combined lifting weight of 500 tons. The most notable feature of this ship is its design layout as a first floor type vessel, providing a wider navigation and driving view. The ship is equipped with a spacious deck of 128 meters in total length and a 104 meter long cargo hold. Additionally, the cargo hold is designed for open loading, maximizing the single compartment capacity and open area of the open deck. The ship is equipped with two layers of two deck hatch covers, which can be flexibly adjusted in nine positions up and down. It is also equipped with two sets of movable bulkheads, which can be adjusted in multiple longitudinal positions, greatly improving the cargo loading capacity.
