New Era Shipbuilding delivers TMS's second 159000 ton crude oil tanker

On the afternoon of August 26th, Jiangsu New Era Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. held a ship signing and delivery ceremony in the conference room on the eighth floor of the office building. The 17 # 159000 ton crude oil tanker "VADELA" was delivered to the Greek shipowner for operation.
Zhang Yuyong, Executive Vice General Manager of New Era Shipbuilding, Yuan Heng, Deputy General Manager, and Evangelos Pelekanos, representative of Greek shipowner TMS, attended the ceremony and witnessed the delivery of the ship together.
The 17 # 15900 ton crude oil tanker is the second of four ships of the same type ordered by Greek shipowner TMS from New Era Shipbuilding. The crude oil tanker has a total length of 274 meters, a width of 50 meters, a depth of 23.2 meters, a design draft of 16.1 meters, a structural draft of 16.8 meters, and a cabin capacity of approximately 180000 cubic meters. It is equipped with a MAN B&W 6G70ME-C10.5 TIER3 with HPSCR main engine, with a main engine power (SMCR) of 13500KW and a continuous navigation power (NCR) of 11475KW, and is equipped with a 1200KW shaft generator to meet Tier 3 nitrogen oxide emissions requirements. With a designed draft, main engine power NCR, equipped with PSV and HVAF, and a 15% sea state reserve, the sailing speed is approximately 13.9 knots. The main engine has a range of approximately 23500 nautical miles when operated with only one axle based on a fully loaded fuel tank.
