8 days, 3 ships! SUMEDA Shipbuilding delivers another Crown 63 PLUS bulk carrier

On March 10, a CROWN 63 3.0 version bulk carrier, "Yu Zhan," built for Taiwanese shipowner Evergreen Marine, was successfully delivered by Xinda Ocean Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of SUMEC Shipbuilding.

This is the third CROWN 63 PLUS 3.0 version bulk carrier delivered by SUMEC Shipbuilding in the past eight days. Previously, SUMEC Shipbuilding delivered the "ZY IDOL" to Zhejiang Yin Leasing on March 3; and the "ARMERIA" to a British shipowner on March 5.

It is understood that the CROWN 63 PLUS (CROWN 63 3.0 version), through cooperation with a professional Japanese design company, has re-optimized the hull lines and adopted energy-saving and consumption-reducing designs, achieving an upgrade of the advantageous ship type. The cargo capacity has been significantly increased, and the speed and fuel consumption data are also significantly improved compared to the CROWN 63 2.0 version. The EEDI value far exceeds the baseline, making it a top performer among PHASE 3 vessels.

Based on the original Brand ship type, this ship type has been upgraded in many aspects, and its performance is superior in all aspects: the cargo capacity, speed, and fuel consumption data of the ship type have been significantly improved, meeting the requirements of the International Maritime Organization's IMO Energy Efficiency Design Index EEDI 3 and Tier 3 emission standards. The ship type design incorporates green concepts, optimizes hull lines, and further highlights energy-saving and consumption-reducing advantages. Continuously promoting the configuration of product series, providing multiple configuration options such as low-resistance paint, desulfurization towers, high-voltage shore power systems, and ship intelligent systems to meet the needs of different shipowners in various scenarios.
