On the morning of August 5th, Jiangsu Haitong Ocean Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd. held a grand delivery ceremony for the fourth 63,500-deadweight ton bulk carrier built for Taiwan's Cheng Te Marine Transport - the "HG HOUSTON".
This is the seventh vessel successfully delivered by Haitong Ocean this year. This vessel is not only the final delivery of the Cheng Te Marine Transport project, but also another outstanding achievement following the successful "cloud delivery" of two similar vessels to a Norwegian shipowner in the first half of the year.
The vessel has an overall length of 199.9 meters, a molded breadth of 32.26 meters, a molded depth of 18.9 meters, a design draft of 13.5 meters, and is classed by Lloyd's Register of Shipping. The vessel was successfully completed through the concerted efforts of the shipowner, Lloyd's Register, the ship management team, the supervision team, and the shipyard staff.
Guests from the shipowner, design institute, classification society, and bank, as well as Haitong Ocean leaders, attended the event and offered their best wishes for the new vessel. Mr. Wang Mingjian named the new vessel "HG HOUSTON", and Ms. Luo Lin Guizhu, the godmother, christened the vessel with champagne. Wishing the new vessel fair winds and following seas, bringing wealth and honor to the shipowner, safe voyages for the crew, and opening up a new chapter in its voyages.

Mr. Cai Bangquan, Chairman of Cheng Te Marine Transport, and Mr. Jin Xing, Chairman of Haitong Ocean, signed the delivery documents on behalf of both parties.
