On April 5, the 80,000-DWT self-unloading bulk carrier ALGOMA CELEBRATION, built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group’s Yangzijiang Mitsui Shipbuilding for a Canadian shipowner, departed the shipyard dock, commencing its maiden voyage.
The “ALGOMA CELEBRATION” is the third vessel delivered in this series, with a total length of 229.00 meters, a molded breadth of 32.26 meters, a molded depth of 20.15 meters, and a design draft of 14.40 meters. It is classed by the American Bureau of Shipping. The vessel commenced batch cutting on February 13, 2025, and successfully completed its sea trials on March 1, 2026, with all test results exceeding the performance targets set during the design phase.
On March 31, Mr. Brad Scarbro, representative of the shipowner, Mr. Song Shumming, Deputy General Manager of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group and General Manager of Yangzijiang Mitsui, and Mr. Yuji Ishimaru, CFO of Yangzijiang Mitsui, jointly signed the delivery documents for the vessel “ALGOMA CELEBRATION.”
