
JMU delivers its first newly designed 210000 deadweight ton bulk carrier

Recently, Japan Shipbuilding Union (JMU) delivered the first new 211000 deadweight ton Newcastle MAX bulk carrier "MOUNDAIN ANJIN" built for MI-DAS LINE S.A. at its Tsu branch in Mie Prefecture.
This is the first production vessel of the successor design N211BC launched by JMU, following the J series 211BC vessel known for its outstanding performance. This type of ship incorporates the latest energy-saving technology, while maintaining the same hull parameters as previous ships before JMU, it has achieved the third stage requirements of the Ship Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) ahead of schedule, and complies with the latest regulations such as Tier III nitrogen oxide emission standards and sulfur oxide emission standards, balancing the maintenance of cargo capacity and the improvement of fuel efficiency.
The 'MOUNTAIN ANJIN' has a total length of 299.99 meters, a width of 50.00 meters, a depth of 25.00 meters, a draft of 18.40 meters, a carrying capacity of 211981 tons, and a total tonnage of 108999 tons. The main engine is a HZME MAN-B&W 7S60ME-C10.6-HPSCR diesel engine, with a speed of 14 knots and a crew of 25. It is classified by the American Bureau of Shipping and flies the flag of Liberia.
The ship is equipped with JMU's unique energy-saving devices "Super Stream Duct", "SURF-BULB" and "ALV Fin", achieving a significant improvement in fuel efficiency. The ship is equipped with a desulfurization device, adopting the bow shape of the "LEADGE Bow" design and a low-pressure residential area design that complies with new noise regulations, which improves the actual operational performance in the sea area.
